Rowan

They sometimes say i feel too much
i didnt even know her but when i heard her story i cried
no metaphors or similes to explain the pain
the near blind rage that tore thru me at the words on the screen
no display of sadness enough to encompass the extent of my grief
tho
i didnt know her
i couldnt even sleep and every time i closed my eyes i heard her shrieks
had to open them not to listen
seeing the tears glisten as they rolled down her cheek
acts considered unspeakable but into them life i breathe
bruised ribs from chest compressions evidence of desperate measures ordering death to take its leave
it didnt
It came slow ...and vicious
I looked to heaven and screamed
see sometimes i question its existence but on those days
i just couldn't
cuz then that would mean that this was all she had and the poor child had it tough... life
shit
it beat her up and left her in a fuckin ditch
To wit i guess you could say life really was a sadistic bitch getting kicks off her misery
They found her
eight year old body
bruised
bloody
violated
headband and socks
that's all she had on
headband and socks
I'm afraid to go to sleep

*tear* I know whatchu mean. sometimes, it doesn't matter that you don't know a person personally. some stories simply touch souls.
